History has gone down in the books on this historic Nov. 4th election day, and Barack Obama is now poised to become the 44th President of the United States, having defeated John McCain to win the necessary electoral votes. The electoral college delegates will vote Obama and his family into the White House come January, and soon as the despicable Bush’s make their exit…a grand farewell it shall be!
Barack Obama, a 47-year-old first-term senator from Illinois, shattered more than 200 years of history Tuesday night by winning election as the first African-American president in the history of the United States, according to projections by NBC News. Obama reached the 270 electoral votes he needed for election at 11 p.m. ET, when NBC News projected that he would win California, Washington and Oregon.
Obama’s opponent, Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, said he had called Obama to offer his congratulations. Addressing supporters in Phoenix, he said, “The American people have spoken, and they have spoken clearly.” McCain said he “recognized the special significance” Obama’s victory had for African-Americans.
Honestly…if a clear Obama victory wasn’t visible when McCain announced Palin as his running mate (what a joke she is) then you should sell your TV and hang out on NinjaDude all day…you’ll probably increase that intelligence level some.
