Borat Gets Owned

Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen was headed to a bar in New York when he was repeatedly punched in the face by a man he tried to prank as Borat.

He approached the man and said: “I like your clothings. Are nice! Please may I buying? I want have sex with it.” But the bystander didn’t see the joke. He took one look at Cohen and punched him in the face. The funnyman — known for his Borat catchphrase “Jagshemash!” — yelled for help but was slugged again and again.

House star and Sacha’s drinking buddy for the night Hugh Laurie came to his rescue and stopped the attack. Apparently the man thought Borat was a crazed foreigner, which sparked the beating. I think this serves as a wake-up call to Sacha that Borat is getting kind of old. I don’t see why he has to act this way anymore as the movie is already out and further promotional appearances as the Kazakh journalist are unnecessary.
