Born in Flint, Michigan and raised out in California, Salam “Wreck” Nassar (up & coming) DJ/Producer is one of hip-hop’s most sought after DJ’s. Crafting his mixing skills and ear for music while studying under his brother Fred Wreck, West coast’s own star producer. Salam spent his early years DJing nightclubs and house parties, moving onto college and commercial radio. Working mix shows on Michigan State University College radio to WDZZ 92.7 in Flint, Michigan help Salam build a name for himself on the streets and in the music industry.
While working at WDZZ, Salam had met Supa Dave, a radio personality out of Atlanta, Georgia. Dave and Salam connected in the studio which linked Supa Dave a.k.a. Moochie Mack a deal with Koch Records. The debut album for Moochie Mack, “Broke Pimpin” and the hit single “The dirty South Is In Da House” ripped up radio waves and mixtapes in the South. While working in the studio producing, DJing radio and night clubs, Salam was asked to DJ for D12 during their fall 2001 “Devils Night” tour. His performance on tour landed him a full time DJing position for the Dirty Dozen, as well as another Shady Records artist Obie Trice.
Completing two full world tours with D12 and Obie Trice including opening up The Roc The Mic Tour in 2004 for Jay-Z and 50 Cent, Salam has made his name known throughout the entire world and the hip-hop community. Being the understudy of older brother Fred Wreck (West Coast Power house producer) he learned to craft his skills in the studio. Producing for multi-platinum artists as DMX, 50 Cent, Styles P, D12, Ras Kass and Eve, Salam learned his way around the studio well. Appearing on various TV shows like Conan O’Brian, Jimmy Kimmel and 106 & Park, and Eminem, D12 and Obie Trice’s music videos, which keeps Salam visible in the public eye. Keep on the lookout for more in 2010!
