Gwen & Gavin’s New Baby: Named After Moped

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale added another child to their family yesterday at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, birthing a newborn boy which they’ve named “Zuma,” the same moniker used by Yamaha in their moped line.

The current ripe market for manufacturers of these two-wheeled forms of transportation continues to grow sweeter, seeing as how these generate roughly 100+ MPG in nearly any brand you analyze. Maybe the Stefani/Rossdale kid can benefit financially from Yamaha someday, which could partially make up for a childhood full of put-downs rhyming with Too-ma, Poo-ma, and Blargoo-ma.

Son Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale was born Thursday at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, joining 2-year-old brother Kingston in the musically inclined couple’s burgeoning brood.

The family’s newest addition arrived at 12:46 p.m., weighing 8.5 pounds.
