Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross is tangled in a mess over 200 nude photos of her, recovered by a garbage pilferer. The pictures were most likely taken by her husband Tom Mahoney, whom she married last year. Marcia dumped the photos in the trash, being the smart woman that she is. That’s where a man named David Hans Schmidt comes in. He’s an agent from Phoenix, and somehow he got his hands on the pics.

“There are some pictures of her showering outside,” Schmidt tells the New York Daily News. “She looks absolutely gorgeous. And yes, the carpet does match the curtains.”

He has a previous history of targeting other celebs, such as Paris Hilton when she forfeited a storage locker to public auction by failing to make a payment on the rent.

Moral of the story: Use a paper shredder.
