There’s usually a reason for the warnings on your medication that tell you not to mix with alcohol, but sometimes stupidity prevails, and in the case of Mischa Barton, lands you in the hospital.
Mischa Barton was rushed to hospital after accidentally mixing her medication with alcohol.The former ‘The O.C.’ star, who was prescribed antibiotics for a bout of bronchitis, fell ill at a friend’s Memorial Day barbeque on Sunday evening (27.05.07) after downing a few cocktails. The 21-year-old actress suffered an adverse reaction to the drugs and was taken to an undisclosed Los Angeles medical facility. Doctors sent Mischa home after just five hours with strict instructions to rest. A representative for Mischa revealed she is now with her family and “feeling much better”.
