Drunken car accident man Shia LaBeouf is reportedly recovering from hand surgery, coming roughly 2 days after he made an illegal turn in Hollywood, causing a crash that rolled his Ford F-150. Shia was arrested for driving under the influence, considered lucky after dodging a felony bullet since nobody was seriously injured.
“Attorneys for Mr. LaBeouf confirm that an automobile accident involving an additional party occurred early morning in Los Angeles on July 27, 2008,” said Melissa Kates in the statement issued Sunday evening. “Shia is currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month. No further comment will be issued at this time. ”
LaBeouf, 22, was driving in Hollywood when his car was involved in a collision around 3 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. S. Wolf told the Associated Press. He was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for injuries he sustained to his head, left hand and knee, according to police. The female passenger riding with LaBeouf and the driver of the other car involved in the crash were not seriously hurt.
