With worldwide wonder for the reason regarding a Spice Girls reunion, the once iconic female group featuring Victoria Beckham as Posh Spice will be recording a Christmas track due out later this year, the Post Chronicle reports:
Emma Bunton and Geri Haliwell - part of the chart-topping British girl band - could hardly contain their joy as they emerged from a Brighton recording studio, hugging each other and laughing, last week. The girls are hoping to grab this year’s prestigious UK Christmas number one and are delighted with the track they have chosen. Mel C is also said to have lay down her vocals for the track at the same studio. The remaining band members Victoria Beckham and Mel B - who are both currently in Los Angeles - will reportedly travel to the UK to record their parts next month.
The Spice Girls had three consecutive UK Christmas number ones at the height of their success. In 1996, ‘2 Become 1′ topped the charts, followed by ‘Too Much’ in 1997 and ‘Goodbye’ in 1998. Last month, it was reported the band had been offered £1 million each to reunite for a Christmas concert after the former bandmates were overheard discussing plans to stage a comeback show during celebrations for Victoria’s husband David’s 32nd birthday.
Ridiculous. It’s going to be like the Pussycat Dolls only 10 years older and with less penis. They actually should have kicked Scary Spice out before announcing the reunion.
