Tiger Will Speak Friday Sans Elin Nordegren

Tiger Woods will spit his public apology on Friday at an official press conference sponsored by the PGA, and contrary to media reports–all alone! Elin Nordegren confirmed to reporters yesterday that she won’t be joining the Tige-man as he kisses ass inside the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse.

Woods will make a statement — expected to be 5 to 7 minutes in length — and will not take any questions during the tightly-controlled media event. Tiger will make his comments before “a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates,” according to a statement released by his rep. He is expected to apologize for his actions in an attempted to repair his shattered image as golf’s golden boy.

“While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between he and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him,” the statement continued. “He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends and that’s what he’s going to discuss.” Woods is expected to begin his return to golf next month.
